The chances for a war to erupt was always on the cards for a few years now. However, Vladimir Putin reassured that he would not invade Ukraine unless the situation warranted it. However, a few months later Putin ignored all peace deals and created a scene where war was imminent. Russia started to pour forces in the north, south, and east of Ukraine. This was indeed a surprise move that most countries in the world did not expect.
Putin’s demand is not only restricted to Ukraine never joining NATO. His concern is about the reversal in the eastern expansion policy of the NATO member countries. Putin affirms that Russia has nowhere to retreat to and it can’t sit idly. It is against what was promised in the 1990s

Pre-war address
In the pre-war address, Putin accuses Ukraine of being home to extremists with western affiliations. He claims that his goal was to protect the people of Ukraine from being subjected to genocide and bullying. He aimed to demilitarize and de Nazify Ukraine. Therefore, on 20th February 2022, the war between Russia and Ukraine started. It is a war that is going on between Russia and pro-Russian forces on one side and Ukraine and its western supporters on the other side. Russia has launched devastating attacks on Ukraine by land, sea, and air.
War and its effect on the economy
Thousands of people have been killed. It includes civilians as well as soldiers and several people have fled to different places across the Ukrainian border. It includes Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, etc. The war will affect the economy of the countries involved as well as those that are dependent on them. Therefore, the economic impact will be worldwide. It will reflect in the stock markets.
The IT industry in India
THE Indian IOT sector is all set to exploit the business potential in emerging technologies that include AI, cloud computing solutions, and cyber security. Over 2.8 million employees are working in the IT sector. The IT industry is one of the top industries in the country. Also, it includes exports and BPO services. Therefore, you might be concerned as to how this war will affect the IT sector.
The impact of war on the IT sector
The fact is that the Russia-Ukranian conflict might not have an impact on the IT services sector in India. Though 30-40% of the revenue of the IT industries is from Europe, there is no direct presence in Ukraine. Though the industry might face certain setbacks that will usually happen following a condition that is destabilizing the economy and the wait and watch policy adopted by the companies, the war will not affect the IT industry in India largely. This is because most of the business is from clients in the USA and Germany and other parts of the world.
