We're Hiring
AWS Cloud Migration Engineer
Legacy-to-AWS Transitions, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK), & Cost Optimization (FinOps).
Remote / Hybrid
The Mission
At DuskByte, we don't just "lift and shift." We architect for the cloud. As an AWS Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be responsible for taking complex, on-premise or legacy data center workloads and transforming them into high-availability, elastic, and cost-efficient AWS environments.
You will ensure that the migration is not just a change of hosting, but a jump in operational maturity.
What You Will Do (The Role)
Migration Strategy Execution
Implement the "6 Rs" of migration (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, etc.) for enterprise B2B SaaS applications.
Infrastructure Automation
Build and maintain production environments using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Containerization
Transition monolithic apps into Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) or AWS Fargate to improve scalability and deployment speed.
Database Transformation
Execute zero-downtime migrations from legacy SQL/Oracle to Amazon RDS, Aurora, or DynamoDB.
Serverless Modernization
Refactor synchronous legacy processes into asynchronous, event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda, SQS, and EventBridge.
The AWS Expert Tech Stack
We expect mastery of the AWS ecosystem:
Compute
EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS
Storage & Data
S3, RDS (Aurora), DynamoDB, ElastiCache.
Networking
VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, Direct Connect.
Security
IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, AWS WAF.
Migration Tools
AWS Migration Hub, Application Migration Service (MGN), Database Migration Service (DMS).
Who You Are (Requirements)
The "Zero-Downtime" Specialist
You treat production uptime as sacred. You know how to use Blue/Green deployments and Canary releases to mitigate risk.
FinOps Mindset
You don't just build; you optimize. You understand how to right-size instances and use Spot/Reserved instances to save client budget.
Security-First Builder
You understand the AWS Shared Responsibility Model and ensure every resource is hardened from day one.
Experience
8+ years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with at least 2 successful large-scale AWS migrations under your belt. AWS Professional Certifications (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer) are a major plus.
Why Join the DuskByte Cloud Team?
You'll be joining a team that values architectural purity. We don't cut corners. You will have the autonomy to build "The Right Way," using modern IaC patterns and helping our clients move away from the "server-hugger" mentality into a truly cloud-native future.
