Pricing & Promotions Platform

Problem

A European foodservice distribution group operating across multiple member organizations had let its pricing lifecycle evolve without a centralised control layer: supplier data arrived in inconsistent formats, pricing and promotion updates were coordinated by email and spreadsheet, and no system tracked who changed a price or why, creating pricing drift, delayed promotions, and growing operational risk as the network scaled.

Solution

We built a centralised pricing and governance platform that sits as a control layer over the group's existing systems rather than replacing them: a supplier data layer that ingests and normalises feeds from REST, FTP, CSV and XML; a pricing engine for tiered, customer-specific, and time-based pricing and promotion scheduling; approval workflows with full audit logging; Keycloak-based SSO and role segmentation across suppliers, associates, and members; and a distribution layer that synchronises pricing in real time across member sites. It shipped in phases, with parallel validation before each cutover, so pricing operations never stopped.

Outcome

The platform now serves 50+ distributors, synchronising 10,000+ products in real time across 100+ supplier sources. Manual price preparation fell from five days to under one, pricing errors across member sites fell by 95%, and promotion rollout is 50% faster.
